How RefillMath handles corrections, step by step

Corrections

Last updated: October 15, 2026

Corrections made on RefillMath are listed on this page, with the date of each one. When we confirm that something we published was wrong, we fix it on the page where it appeared and, if it meets the criteria below, we record it here so you can see what changed and when.

How RefillMath handles corrections, step by step

What corrections we log

We log a correction when a published error:

  • could have cost a reader money or led them to a wrong choice about how to pay, such as a wrong price, a wrong savings-card limit or a wrong eligibility rule;
  • said the opposite of what the official source says; or
  • made a claim about a named person or company without a source to support it.

Typos, broken formatting and wording changes that do not change the meaning are fixed without an entry here.

Price updates are not corrections

Drug prices and the terms of savings programs change during the year. When a figure on RefillMath changes because the official source changed, we update it and record the change, with its date, in our price history. That is routine maintenance. An entry appears on this page only when we published something that was already wrong on the day we published it.

How we handle corrections

  1. Report. A reader writes to us, or we find the problem in our own monthly review.
  2. Check. We open the official source and compare it with what we published.
  3. Fix. We correct the page where the error appeared and update its check date.
  4. Log. If the error meets the criteria above, we add an entry to the log at the bottom of this page.

We aim to make corrections within two business days of confirming an error.

What each entry includes

FieldWhat it shows
DateThe day the correction was made
PageWhere the error appeared, with a link
What it saidThe wrong figure or statement
What it says nowThe corrected figure or statement

How to report an error

Use our contact form and choose “Report a price or error” as the topic. Tell us the page, the figure or sentence that is wrong and, if you can, a link to the official page that shows the right one, such as the manufacturer’s site, Medicare.gov or FDA.gov. We aim to reply within five business days.

Corrections: common questions

Do you change pages without saying so?

Errors that meet the criteria on this page are logged here with their date. Prices that change because the official source changed are recorded in our price history. Only minor fixes, such as typos, are made without a note.

Why is a price change not listed here?

Because it was not an error. If the manufacturer or Medicare changed a figure, our page was right on the day it was published and is updated in the price history instead.

How do you find errors yourselves?

On the 10th of every month we check every price on the site against its official source. An error found in that review is handled the same way as one a reader reports: checked, fixed and, if it meets the criteria above, logged here.

What if I disagree with a correction?

Write to us with a link to the official source you are relying on. We will compare it with the one we used and, if we got it wrong again, correct the page and the log entry.

Will you name me if I report an error?

No. Our corrections describe the error and the fix. We do not publish the name or email address of the person who reported it.
