Privacy policy: what RefillMath collects and why

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

This privacy policy explains what personal information RefillMath collects when you visit the site or write to us, why we collect it, who else receives it and the choices you have.

The short version: we collect very little. You can read every page and use every calculator without giving us your name or email address, and what you type into a calculator stays in your browser.

Privacy policy: what RefillMath collects and why

Our privacy policy at a glance: 5 facts

  1. No account, no sign-up. The site works without a name or an email address.
  2. Calculators run in your browser. We do not receive or store the numbers you enter.
  3. Messages are used to reply. If you write to us, we use your name, email and message to answer you and to check the error you report.
  4. No tracking cookies today. The site sets no analytics or advertising cookies. Before Google ads start, a consent message will ask for your choice.
  5. We do not sell your personal information for money.

Who is responsible for your data

RefillMath is run by one independent editor who writes under the pen name Maren Ellis. The person legally responsible for the site, and for the personal information described in this privacy policy, is identified in our Legal Notice. You can reach us through our contact form.

Messages you send through the contact form

Messages sent through the form arrive by email in our inbox, which is provided by Google. The site does not keep a copy of form messages in its database. We keep a message for as long as we need it to answer you and to record any correction it led to, and then we delete it.

Please do not send health information, insurance member IDs or other sensitive details. We do not need them to answer you.

Cookies, analytics and Google ads

Today RefillMath sets no analytics or advertising cookies. When Google ads start, a consent message from Google will ask for your choice before any advertising cookie is set, and you will be able to change your mind later. Every cookie is listed in our Cookie Policy, which works together with this privacy policy.

Once ads run on this site, third-party vendors, including Google, will use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services.

We do not use Google Analytics at the moment. If we add it, it will run only after you consent, and you will also be able to block it with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Who receives your information

  • Our hosting provider, Namecheap, stores the site and its server logs.
  • Google provides our email inbox and, once ads run, advertising.

We do not share your information with drug makers, pharmacies, insurers or telehealth companies. These providers may process data in the United States and other countries under the safeguards described in their own policies. This privacy policy does not cover those providers; each one has its own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

  • Contact messages: until we no longer need them to answer you or to record a correction.
  • Server logs: for the period set by our hosting provider.
  • Cookies: for the periods listed in our Cookie Policy.

Your privacy rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Write to us through the contact form. We aim to reply within five business days, and at the latest within one month. Using the rights in this privacy policy is free.

If you are in the European Union or the UK, you also have the right to restrict or object to our use of your data, to data portability and to withdraw your consent at any time. You can complain to your data protection authority. Because the site is run from Spain, that is the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

Some US states give residents rights to know, delete and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. Google advertising cookies may count as “sharing” for targeted ads under some state laws. Once ads run, you can opt out by rejecting advertising cookies in Google’s consent message or by turning off personalized ads in Google Ads Settings.

Our site does not respond to Do Not Track browser signals.

Children

RefillMath is written for adults paying for prescription medicines. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this privacy policy

When we change this privacy policy, we update the date at the top of the page. If a change affects how we use information you already gave us, we will say so on this page.

Privacy policy: common questions

Do you see what I type into the calculators?

No. The calculators run in your browser and do not send your numbers to us. If you close the page, they are gone.

Do you sell my email address?

No. We use your email address to reply to your message, and we do not add it to any mailing list.

Can I use RefillMath without cookies?

Yes. Today the site sets no analytics or advertising cookies at all. Once ads run, you will be able to reject them in Google’s consent message, and every page and calculator will still work.

Does this privacy policy cover other websites?

No. This privacy policy covers refillmath.com. When you follow a link to another site, that site’s own privacy policy applies.

How do I ask you to delete my message?

Send a request through the contact form with the email address you used. We will delete the message and confirm when it is done.
